‘The old and new towns of Manali in Himachal Pradesh are divided by the Manali Nature Park. The luscious respite from the bustle of the towns has become home to several packs of wild dogs who often instill a patch of nervousness within those who choose the park over the road when travelling between the old town and the new. The dogs, however, are as friendly as they come and can be found lazily enjoying their forestry home amongst the chestnut and maple trees which sit in the foothills of the Himalayas, as the river flows wildly behind them.’
