‘Located in both India and Bangladesh, The Sunderbans are an ecosystem of mangrove islands spreading across the Bay of Bengal. Home to some of the last remaining Bengal tigers, whose ferocity parallels their beauty as a result of the human impact on their dwindling environment and food sources, the islands are split between the wildlife and humans. Crossings from island to island are performed by both parties alike, often resulting in devastating consequences. This particular crossing however, had a different mission to wildlife spotting, we were off to the mainland, for rum.’
